Cinderelly, Cinderelly

Well. TOP this week was interesting. I really don't like the way this one was written, but I'm posting it anyways. Thanks for all your comments on last weeks poem! (I'm having a hard time with placing comments and even posting things online because I use a Mac and not a PC; I'm lucky I know basic HTML codes!)
So here's my poem for this week.

Cinderelly, Cinderelly

The vacuum in the hall beckons
it’s voice added to the cacophony
of things I’ve yet “To Do”

The dishwasher gapes
its open mouthed stare unnerving
not to mention the blank eyes
of the washer and dryer

My grocery list seems to go on forever
pooling like Santa’s Naughty List
at the base of the empty ‘fridge

The mountainous pile of laundry looms
the precarious height threatens
a multi-colored avalanche of epic proportions

and the six inches of dust
on the TV screen begs to be wiped clean
I can’t even see House through the haze

the small dust bunnies under my couch
have been genetically altered
becoming instead monstrous dust bears

I steel my nerves and grit my teeth
my resolve is final as i grip the mop
I’ve always felt like Cinderella
when I clean the house

You got that right! This is a perfect way of describing what it feels like to have tons of chores to do.

I so know that feeling - you've put it to words in a perfect fashion!

Very well written, don't you just hate housework? Love the title, not heard/seen Cinderelly used before, cool!

I've yet to meet anyone that truly enjoys housework. You've given a perfect example of why here. Great job.
